We’re looking for amazing community partners to join our STEAM Family Night! 🔬🎨🤖🎨
Do you work in science, technology, engineering, arts, or math? We’d love for you to host a hands-on activity, demonstration, or interactive booth to inspire our students and families!

Here are just a few examples of careers and what you could showcase:

🔹 Engineers – Simple bridge-building challenges or 3D printing demos
🔹 Healthcare professionals – Heart rate monitors, anatomy models, or healthy habits science
🔹 Coders/IT professionals – Beginner coding activities or robotics demos
🔹 Artists/Designers – Digital art, animation, or creative design challenges
🔹 Firefighters/First Responders – Fire science, safety engineering, or equipment demos
🔹 Environmental scientists – Water testing or sustainability activities
🔹 Skilled trades (electricians, welders, mechanics) – Tool demonstrations and career pathway info

This week we’re celebrating Mrs. Lilly Martens, our wonderful school social worker! She is truly a ray of sunshine in our building and cares so deeply for every single student. 💛 Ms. Lilly works tirelessly to support our kids and families — helping with food, clothing, school supplies, shoes, and whatever else they may need. She is an incredible resource for our school community and always goes above and beyond to make sure students feel supported, cared for, and ready to learn. We are beyond lucky to have Ms. Lilly at Westwood and so grateful for the love and dedication she pours into our school each day. 🌈✨

Our 5th graders got to see science in action Thursday afternoon during a visit from a Museum of Discovery scientist! They saw a fire tornado, the effects of liquid nitrogen, and even got the teachers to try a nitrogen Cheeto!

We were howling with pride over so many wolves today- they have been great examples of our PACK Promise!

Today we celebrated the BEST of the BEST — our incredible CSSO, Mr. Ranger! Even though he doesn’t have Facebook, that didn’t stop us from showering him with well wishes, smiles, and lots of appreciation throughout the day. He truly felt the love from our school family! A huge shoutout to Mrs. Vang for making the celebration so special. We are so thankful for the thought and care that went into honoring someone who means so much to our Wolf PACK! 💕 #SpringdaleFamily

This week we are celebrating the lovely Mrs. Feltner, our incredible 1st grade teacher! 🍎 She always wants what’s best for her students and consistently encourages them to do their best and be their very best selves. Mrs. Feltner does a wonderful job meeting the needs of every child in her classroom and goes above and beyond to make sure her students feel truly loved and supported each day. 💛 She captures so many special moments by taking photos of her class and creates extra opportunities for connection, like reading to our Pre-K students. 📚✨ We are so lucky to have Mrs. Feltner as part of our Westwood Wolf family! 🐾

Just a reminder- tomorrow is a teacher learning day so no school for students. We DO have school Monday. See you Monday!

Love was in the air all around our school today! Our classrooms were filled with sweet treats, big smiles, and lots of Valentine cheer as students celebrated their Valentine’s Day parties together. A HUGE thank you to all of the parents and families who came to celebrate with us. Your time, help, and presence made today extra special for our students. Our 3rd grade Wolves have been busy turning imagination into masterpieces in Art class! From bold colors to creative details, students are exploring their artistic side and learning how to express themselves in new ways. It’s amazing to see their confidence grow as they plan, create, and bring their ideas to life. A big shoutout to their wonderful art teacher, Mrs. Hill for inspiring creativity and helping our young artists grow every day!
